Lush Aromaco Solid Deodorant Review

Hello Lovelies,

My summer has been so busy with weddings that I have slightly neglected my lovely blog! The next few months are crazy busy also but I have scheduled some time for writing more lovely blog posts for you all. It has been a while since I have done a beauty product review, so here we go.

I have been trying really hard to reduce the amount of waste, specifically plastic waste, that I am putting out into the planet. Due to this I have been trying to find some eco friendly beauty products and have been using a lot of solid bard instead of liquids, creams, gels etc. in my beauty routine. Working as a hair and makeup artist, I am always working in close proximity to people, so I wear a lot of deodorant. I always feel guilty when I throw another can in the bin thinking of it getting burned or going to landfill, so I have been looking for an alternative for a while.

I really love Lush and everything they stand for, so when I was looking for a deodorant alternative I knew I would find one there. The sales assistant was so helpful and talked me through all of the different alternatives.

There are different solid deodorants and dusting powders (find out more info here) and I decided to go for the Aromaco solid deodorant. It smelt really nice and I thought it would be easier to apply than a dust.

The first few times I used Aromaco it was great, it applied almost like a balm and smelt amazing. I sat it out on my dressing table but after a few days I felt like I was just rubbing it on my skin and nothing was coming off. I rubbed harder but my skin just got red.

I found that the deodorant had hardened a little bit so I decided to keep it wrapped in the paper that it came in and this has really helped. If it is a bit to hard to apply I just rub warm it a little by rubbing it on the paper then it applies really well.

I just love the smell of Aromaco, it contains patchouli which you can really smell throughout the day. At the end of the day I still feel fresh and you can still smell the deodorant which is rare and amazing.

I would give Aromaco 4 hearts out of 5.

Have you ever tried Aromaco or any other solid deodorant? Which one is your fave and why? What are you doing to reduce waste in your every day and beauty life? Leave me a comment and let me know.
