My Holiday to NYC and Orlando

My Holiday

Hello lovelies, so today’s blog post is a bit of a personal one. If you follow me on Instagram then you may know I was out in New York City doing my cousin’s bridal hair and makeup, then having a bit of a holiday in New York and Florida. I had the best time ever so I thought I would share a few of my pictures with you all. I have been to both NYC and Orlando around 7 times, but this was Jon Boy’s first time in America so he was super excited too.

My gorgeous little cousin Bobbi and her lovely husband Matthew got married at the Top of the Rock in NYC. It was such a beautiful ceremony. I of course cried the whole time because they both looked so happy and I just get so emotional! Their super tasty meal was at the Edison in NYC and then we went along to Times Square to take some snaps in front of all of the lights. It was just the best time ever.

In NYC we did far too many amazing things to mention them all; we are just so lucky! I got to meet up with my wonderful friend Liz from my days working at the amazing Camp Huntington and I had lunch with the lovely Francesca who I studied with years ago.

It snowed one of the days so we walked through Central Park and enjoyed the views, ate at the most amazing places and went to the Museum of Natural History. We went to Madison Square Gardens to watch the New York Knicks play and somehow I was lucky enough to win the Book of Mormon lottery so we sat front row to see the amazing musical. I dragged Jon Boy to Package Free (a zero waste shop I have been looking forward to going to since we started planning our trip) and it was amazing. Jon was excited about going to the Museum of The Moving Image to see the Jim Henson exhibition and I absolutely loved it too.

Orlando was so wonderful. Jon Boy loves space so we went to Kennedy Space Centre. He absolutely loved it and I had a great day too. He is such a cutie, he even got a bit emotional watching some of the videos about the first trips to space. We took a tour bus over to see where the space shuttle launched and it was so interesting as we saw loads of alligators and a bald eagle on the way as well as the world’s largest doors and lots of other really interesting things.

Disney was my favourite part of being in Orlando. I have always loved Disney, it really is the happiest place on earth. Everyone is so happy there and even if you are waiting in a queue for an hour to go on a ride everyone around you is in a great mood. We had such a wonderful time in Disney World and there is nowhere near enough time to cover it all. A few things we really loved was the Tower of Terror (I had never been on it before), the Walt Disney Museum, getting pictures in front of the castle, the food at the Flower Festival in Epcot and the new Avatar ride.

I can’t put into words what a wonderful time we had away, it was the best holiday ever. We were so lucky to be invited to Bobbi and Matthew’s wedding and had the best time ever there. The rest of our holiday was an added bonus to a wonderful time away for their wedding.

Have you been on any holidays recently? I’d love to know where you have been or where you are planning to go! Let me know in the comments. Also have a read of this blog to find out my must have travel hair and beauty products that I brought with me!
