April already; I cant believe it. This year is flying past so quickly and this weather… Scotland has been so cold these past few months, that’s why I cant wait to go on holiday to New York and Florida. When you read this I will be in Florida sunning it up and going to Disney!
Recently I have been having some brides talking about long lasting lip colour and using the Maybelline 24 hour lip colour, so last month I decided to buy some and give it a go. I went for colours that would look good for bridal makeup. To find out more about the 24 hour lip colours click here.
Finding a long lasting lipstick is always on the top of my makeup list so I was keen to see how this would measure up. One of my favourite bridal lipsticks is Mac Faux; click here to read more about it.
These are the 4 shades that I tried out. There are 29 in total. Click here to see them all. The 24 hour lip colour is a long lasting, flexible lip colour that doesn’t crack or flake off. You simply apply the lip colour to clean, dry lips and wait a few minutes for it to dry. Next you pop on the balm and you are ready to go. It’s really easy to use and the lip applicator is the perfect shape to get beautiful lips every time.
I tried all of these colours on in the morning and kept Caramel Kiss on for the rest of the day. I had lunch and snacks, and I was even cheeky and had a takeaway and a beer at night and the lip colour stayed on surprisingly well. All I had to do was reapply the balm to keep my lips moisturised. I took a quick snap at night before I took my makeup off and went to bed so excuse the pyjamas!
I really liked these lip colours. I have actually been wearing soft taupe almost every day this month. I love it because I apply it in the morning before work and it lasts the full day.
I give Maybelline 24 hour lip colour 4 hearts out of 5.
Have you tried this or any other Maybelline products? What did you think? If you are looking for a long lasting lip colour for your big day, or even just a party or everyday use, then I would try some of these. Leave me a comment and let me know what you thought.
