Hello lovelies, today I am talking about the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation. I had never tried any Charlotte Tilbury products until a few weeks ago when my friend gifted me one in my bridesmaid box (read more about the perfect bridesmaid box here). I absolutely loved the lipstick so decided to try out one of their foundations. I hope you enjoy this review.
Buying a foundation online can be difficult, but the great thing about the Charlotte Tilbury website is it has pictures of people wearing the foundations so you can match them up with your own skin tone. I decided to go for no. 2 Fair. I was tempted to go for no.1 Fair, however I thought it may be slightly too pale.
Charlotte Tilbury Foundation is £32 and can be bought here. It comes in a plastic squeezable tube that is easy to dispense. It is a light weight, long lasting foundation that is SPF foundation and hydrates your skin for up to 18 hours.
My initial thought was that I had bought a shade that was too dark when I swatched it on my wrist, however once I applied it to my face it was perfect.
Firstly I prepped my skin with Kiehl’s ultra facial cleanser, toner and moisturiser to make sure it was in the best possible condition for makeup. I just love this skin care as my skin gets so dehydrated and this makes it feel super smooth again. To find out more about t his skin care have a read of my review here. I applied the foundation with a damp beauty blender and then blended concealer under my eyes.
In the first picture I have no foundation or concealer on, then half a face of foundation, then my finished makeup look. I get a lot of redness in my skin and I have acne scarring. This foundation covers all of my imperfections while still remaining light. You can build it up to be fuller coverage if you wish, which I did because I like slightly more coverage.
I applied this foundation around lunch time and then went out in the evening and got home around 3am. My face was a bit shiny but the foundation was still in place. I could have solved this if I had taken a powder out with me and applied some over the course of the night.
Here is my final makeup look with no filters or skin retouching. I think it looks flawless with great coverage. What do you think? Have you tried this foundation or any other Charlotte Tilbury products? I would love to hear your thoughts below.
