Hello lovelies. Today I wanted to show you a foundation that I absolutely love, L’Oréal Infallible foundation. When I was about 13 I started wearing this foundation and wore it for years. I also converted so many of my friends to this foundation and used it in my make up kit on brides back when I was starting out as a make up artist. I hope you enjoy my L’Oréal Infallible foundation review.
Being a pale, Scottish red head, the colour I use is 015 Porcelain. Back when I was 13 I found it so difficult to find a foundation for pale people, so this was perfect! Everything else was orange on my skin and if I went to a make up counter they wanted to put bronzer on me but I was having none of it! Everyone was fake tanning and I was fake whiting, applying white body make up and talcing my face. Now I have calmed down with the white look but I still love my pale skin, so I still love this foundation.
L’Oréal Infallible foundation retails at £10.99 and can be bought here. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump action, and one pump of foundation will cover your whole face. I love this type of bottle whilst I am using my foundation, however when it stops coming out I get annoyed as I know there is still some left in the bottle so I normally break the lid off and use a brush to get the last out.
This foundation was really easy to apply. First I prepped my skin with Botanic’s moisturiser (to find out more about this amazing skincare click here). I like to use a Beauty Blender sponge and apply it all over my face. You can see I have quite a lot of redness in my skin, so this high coverage foundation is perfect for me. It really cancels out the red without even having to colour correct.
Here is me with no foundation on, then with half a face of foundation, then a full face. You can really see how the foundation covers the redness and blemishes I have and evens out my skin tone and texture. I don’t have any concealer on in the first 2 pictures. When using this foundation I always do concealer afterwards as you can see the foundation covers lots of imperfections as it is.
Here is my final makeup look with all of my other makeup products on. The foundation looks just perfect.
L’Oréal claims that this is a 24 hour foundation. I have never tried it for 24 hours before because I love my sleep, however I have worn it to a wedding when it has lasted all day and night, and it also lasts great dancing all night at a club or even just all day in college or work.
What do you think of this foundation? Have you tried it yourself or any other L’Oréal products? I would love to know what you think. Let me know in the comments.
