The Perfect Bridesmaid Box

Asking someone to be your bridesmaid is such a special and exciting time. Nowadays there is much more to it than simply asking a question, there are so many fun and unique ways to ask someone but my favourite is a personalised bridesmaid box! You can put lots of lovely things inside it and make it unique for the person you are giving it to. Here is my example of the perfect bridesmaid box, but I can’t take any credit for making it because… my friend Julie gave it to me and asked me to be her maid of honour! Eeeeek I am so excited, I literally cried my eyes out when she gave it to me. It is just so lovely I had to share it. I am 1 of 4 bridesmaids and we are all so excited!

So a little bit about me and Julie. We did not like each other to start with, her mum used to look after me when I was a kid. I wanted to play with Barbie dolls and Julie being older did not, I was annoying and she had to play with me as I was always around. I guess she just got used to me as we grew into best friends that are like sisters. Julie is always there for me and I hope that’s she knows I am always there for her. I am so lucky to have this lovely lady in my life.

Julie decorated this box herself! I honestly can’t believe it, I thought she had bought it with my name on it, it’s so neat! Julie drew my name on the wooden box and added this gorgeous lace ribbon.

When I opened the box I was so overwhelmed. There was just so many lovely things inside and it smelt gorgeous. The pictures of me and Julz from over the years is what stood out straight away to me. We have been friends for so long and each picture held such a special memory.

So, what’s inside…

– Bubbly from Santorini (where Craig popped the question <3 )
– Maid of honour glass
– Chocolates
– Candle
– Wax melts
– Maid of honour bracelet
– Bride tribe hair tie
– Charlotte Tilbury lipstick (Oh my!!!)
– Bubbles
– Pictures
– Poem
– Flowers to decorate

This little bundle of things makes the perfect night in, I intend to fill a deep bubble bath, put on a face mask and use all of these.

I am going to buy a photo frame so I can put these pictures up on my photo wall in my living room. Also I cant wait to wear this lipstick and bracelet and head out to celebrate with Julie and the girls!

This is the poem that had me in tears, although to be honest the whole box had me crying! As I upload this picture I am welling up again, its just so lovely.

Julie I cannot wait to be standing beside you on your special day! I promise to help you as much as you need it and help to plan the best hen weekend ever!

How gorgeous is this lipstick! Can you believe this is my first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick? I cannot wait to wear it, it’s just my colour!

How are you going to ask your bridesmaids to be by your side on the day? I hope this has given you some inspiration! Have any of you been a bridesmaid before? I would love some tips. Let me know what you thought of this post in the comments.
