Botanics Skincare Review

It is important to look after your skin in general, but even more so in the run up to your wedding. Please don’t turn up on the day and just hope that the make-up artist can fix your skin; it is so much better to put in some work at home. Although a good make-up artist will fully prep your skin if you look after it yourself, it will be even better on the big day. This Botanics hydration burst skin care review will show you perfect products to use on dry and dehydrated skin.

The Botanics skin care range is just amazing, so reasonably priced, and can be bought in Boots. The products that I am reviewing today are skin care products that I use on my brides and members of the bridal party. For me when I do make-up, skin care plays a huge part. I couldn’t imagine putting makeup straight onto someone’s face. I have to show their skin some love first, and these products do just that. Have a read of my “How to choose a makeup artist for your wedding day” blog post to help you find the perfect makeup artist for you.

Hydration Burst Range

The Hydration Burst range is perfect for dehydrated and sensitive skin and can be bought here. It contains clary sage which reduces skin inflammation, and when using these products it feels like you are giving your skin a drink! My skin is dry, and being a red head it can be sensitive, so these products are great for me!

Botanics Hydration Burst Dual Action Cleanser £6.99

This product is amazing! I always massage it onto dry skin for a few minutes and then wet my hands and massage for a further few minutes. On dry skin this feels like a luxury skin balm and is perfect for dissolving any makeup that is on your skin. Once water is applied it turns into a milky consistency. Unlike some cleansers this does not leave your skin feeling tight, just really soft. This product is my favourite out of the three and is one of my all time favourite cleansers to use.

Botanics Hydration Burst 3 in 1 Micellar cleanser £6.99

I love to use this product after cleansing to remove any leftover cleanser and any last pieces of makeup that have been missed. It can also be used by itself so is great for holidays or to take with you to use on the night of your wedding. Apply some to damp cotton wool and wipe all over you face; a make sure your eyes are closed when working over them. I really like this micellar water, however I would say I like it just as much as others I have tried.

Hydration Burst Hydrating Day Cream £8.99

This moisturiser is so hydrating without being greasy or tacky. I smooth some onto my hands and massage it all over the face and neck. It smells lovely and leaves your skin really soft. I love to use this in the morning as it hydrates dry skin so much. Leave it to soak in for 20 minutes and you are good to go with applying your makeup.

These products are just so lovely, they really do feel like a luxury brand to me. I decided to review them as I have used these on bridal parties and always get the best feedback. Clients say that their skin feels so soft after I have used these. I can’t believe how reasonably priced these products are; run out and get them as they are such a bargain!

Have you tried these products or any of the other Botanics skincare? Let me know below what you think and if you enjoyed this review.

  1. I’ve never tried any botanics stuff before, much more affordable than the stuff I have been using and it sounds like it might be just as good for hydrating my skin. Thanks for the heads up!
